STREAMLINED ENERGY AND CARBON REPORTING The following tables summarise energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the Companies Act 2006 (Strategic Report and Directors’ Reports) Regulations 2013 and the Companies (Directors’ Report) and Limited Liability Partnerships (Energy and Carbon Report) Regulations 2018, Energy consumption The table below summarises energy consumption. Reporting periods are January to December. More comprehensive data is in our Sustainability Report and Net Zero Carbon Pathway which set out our 2030 energy and carbon targets. Total energy consumption fell by 6.2% driven by reductions in electricity and gas consumption despite increased district heat consumption. When disposals and new openigns are removed, like-for-like consumption fell by 3%. Reductions in electrictiy and gas follow the investment of £10 million in 2024 and £6.9 million during 2025 into energy efficiency measures, including the latest THE UNITE GROUP PLC Annual Report and Accounts 2025 49
